Why does my cat snore?

Causes of snoring in cats

• Bronchitis: it is the inflammation of the mucosa of the bronchi.
• Innate characteristic of the cat: Sometimes it happens that you have simply always snored.
• Pneumonia: it is the inflammation of the lungs caused by viruses or bacteria characterized by the presence of fever, chills, cough and pain in the affected side of the chest.
• Paranasal polyps: they are small tumors that obstruct the airways, thus causing the vibration responsible for snoring.
• Feline cough: it is a disease caused by a virus that seriously affects the respiratory system.

When to go to the vet?

We have to take our friend to see a vet every time we suspect that you are not feeling well; that is, if you have trouble breathing, if you have started snoring when you have never done it before, or if you show other symptoms such as coughing, sneezing and / or loss of appetite.
