Tinker Toy, the smallest cat in the world

Himalayan kitten

There are giant cats, like the Savannahs that can weigh up to 20kg, and there are others that stay very small, as was the case with Tinker Toy. This precious and adorable animal must have weighed very little, 689 grams. It was about 7cm high and 19cm long. If we compare it to a small European Common, which can weigh over 2kg and be about 25cm tall, we are astonished.

Tinker Toy is, so far, the smallest cat in the world, being recorded even in the Guinness book of records.

The kitten was a Himalayan-Persian blue point. He lived in Taylorville, Illinois (United States) where he was very well cared for by Katrina and Scott Forbes, his humans who were in charge of keeping him healthy, and above all happy, since he was the smallest of the litter of six kittens, although that did not make him it prevented a normal life, it is even probable that he could have more fun than his brothers, because he could go through places where they would have more difficulties.

Being so small, the instinct for protection was sure to be aroused in all who saw it. And, just looking at his photo makes you want to pick him up and take care of him, right? It was a tiny animal, which even fit in the palm of your hand.

Adult cat

Tinker Toy was born on December 25, 1990, and passed away in November 1997, at the age of six. It still holds the record of being the smallest cat in the world, because although an alleged story of a kitten named Mr. Peebles circulates on the Internet, actually this one does not appear in the Guinness Book of Records, which suggests that it is a legend.

Here You can see the Tinker Toy file on the Guiness book website.

Important note: we couldn't find any photos of Tinker Toy. But as soon as we find it, we will update the article.
