- Fast breathing
- Decreased body temperature (the normal temperature of a cat is 38-39ºC)
- Confusion
- Pain when evacuating
- Difficulty breathing normally, may become panting
- Chills
- Decreased urine production
Diagnosis and treatment
If our cat is not well, it must be taken to the vet urgently. Once there, they will do a blood test to measure red and white blood cells, as well as the amount of hemoglobin in the blood. If sepsis is suspected, you will also have a urine analysis looking for bacteria. Confirmed the diagnosis, admit you to give you fluids and medications intravenously.
