Origin and history
Our main breed first emerged in 1980, when a smoky-haired cat gave birth to a silver-haired kitten. He liked it so much that when he died it was embalmed and exhibited in the Natural History Museum in South Kensington (London). But it did not end there: this grayish color in small cats caused so much admiration that even people like Queen Victoria dedicated a good part of their lives to raising these cats.
Thus, today we can enjoy the Persian chinchilla, and love them so much 🙂.
Physical characteristics
Its body is robust, compact and with developed muscles. Weighs between 3,5 and 7kg, the female being somewhat smaller than the male. The hair is semi-long, dense and silky, whitish in color with silver-colored dotted spots. The head is round and large, and its ears are small. The eyes are greenish, usually emerald.
Has a life expectancy of 15 years.

The character of this beautiful cat may surprise, since being a Persian it would not be illogical to think that it is very calm and not very active; however, this is wrong. In fact, needs to do much more exercise than common Persian.
