No, it's not a joke. A family from Portland (United States) has had a very bad experience: their cat, Lux, who weighs about 10kg, did not allow them to lead a normal life, to the point that they had to lock themselves in a room so that the animal does not scratch them. The furry man was so, so angry, that his humans decided to call the police.

It all happened one Sunday afternoon when Lee Palmer and Teresa Barker's 7-month-old baby was scratched in the face. His father reacted by kicking him, thinking that this would scare Lux and run away. But it happen the opposite.

The cat turned against them, and also against the dog. They locked themselves in the bedroom and, every time they wanted to open the door, the animal he growled and hissed at them. Desperate, they called the emergency number, saying that the cat "is very, very, very, very aggressive."

Finally, Sergeant Pete Simpson was dispatched to the scene to fix the problem. Upon arrival, Lux tried to hide in the kitchen, but was captured and put in a pet cage, after which he was left in the custody of the family. After thinking about it, they decided to keep the cat and take him to therapy to overcome your fits of anger.

The question is: could this event have been prevented? I am almost completely sure that it is. I'll tell you why: the baby's father got off to a bad start, kicking Lux. Cats don't understand why you hit them. Most likely, he was not expected to be beaten and, out of fright, chose to get angry, not because he was aggressive, but out of fear. To help him, you have to find the cause of his discomfort.

Hopefully he can go back to normal life.
