From 0 to 1 week of life
The newborn kitten has:
- Closed ears
- Closed eyes
- Has the umbilical cord (it will fall off normally after 4-6 days)
- Stays very close to the ground
- Has no teeth
- Weighs about 100 grams
From 1 to 2 weeks of life
At this age, you have:
- Eyes open (they begin to open at 8 days), blue in color
- Open ears
- Your baby teeth will begin to erupt towards the end of the second week
- Will start walking, staggering
- Weighs about 200 grams
From 3 to 4 weeks of life
At this age, the kitten has:
- The color of the eyes will change, going from blue to its final color (green, brown).
- He begins to control his legs, so he walks quite well.
- Your baby teeth continue to develop, but you can now start to eat solid foods.
- It weighs about 450 grams.
From 5 to 6 weeks of life
At this age, the kitten has:
- His eyes are about to finish their development, although they will not acquire their final color until the following week.
- The little one will begin to explore his territory, while playing, jumping and running.
- It weighs about 600 grams.
From 7 to 8 weeks of life
At this age, the kitten has:
- You will already have all the milk teeth that are 3 premolars in the upper jaw, 2 canines in the upper jaw and another two in the lower jaw, and 6 incisors in both the upper and upper jaw.
- His behavior will be typical of a puppy, that is, he will not stop still until he is surrendered.
- It weighs about 800 grams.
From 2 to 3 months
At 2-3 months the kitten has:
- A weight of 1,4kg.
- He will continue to explore his territory, and will spend a good part of his time playing.
From 4 to 7 months
At this age the kitten:
- Your permanent teeth will begin to emerge, so that after 7 months you will have them all.
- His weight will go from 1,4kg to 2-3kg.
- From 5-6 months it can be in heat.
