Ticks, along with fleasThey are the external parasites that most annoy our furry friend during, especially, spring and even more so in summer. These small animals adhere to the feline's fur, which will suck the blood until they are satisfied.
Let us know how to remove ticks in cats.
Ticks are parasites belonging to the arachnid family that measure less than 0,5cm in length. Normally, they are found in forests, but they can also be found in gardens and open spaces, places that our cat can access, or ourselves. Indeed, one of them may have landed on our body without realizing it and, as they are so small, we may not have noticed it; That is why it is so important to make sure that this has not happened to us before entering the house.
Fortunately, we can do several things to prevent our cat from having ticks, and are as follows:
- Chemical remedies: antiparasitic collars, sprays, pipettes, pills. In veterinary clinics and pet stores we will find several antiparasitic products that we can use to keep our friend protected, and also to eliminate ticks if they already have them.
- Natural medicine:
- We will mix apple cider vinegar with water in equal parts, wet a cotton ball, drain it well and moisten the furry's skin.
- We will prepare a chamomile infusion, moisten a cotton ball and apply it.
- Boil half a liter of water and add two citrus fruits (mandarin, grapefruit, orange or lemon) cut into slices. We will boil for a minute and then we will put it to the minimum for an hour. Once it has cooled down, we will apply it to the cat taking care that it does not come into contact with the eyes, nose or mouth.
Surely with these tips you can forget about ticks, at least for a long time 🙂.
