The cat is one of the cleanest animals that exist. He spends a good part of his time grooming himself and from a very young age he learns to relieve himself in the sandbox. Give him a quality diet
Today there are many types of feed, and there are many that do NOT take care of the cat's digestive system. If we read the label of the ingredients we will realize that they are made with cereals, flours and by-products (which are nothing more than skins, spikes, etc., in short, things that no one in their right mind would eat). It seems that they want to make us forget that the cat is a carnivore, and also almost strict (it can eat fruits and vegetables, but very occasionally).
If we give him low-quality feed, which is the one that contains cereals, we risk him having problems in his digestive tract. This in the medium or long term will increase the risk that he will relieve himself off the tray.
Make sure you have a suitable litter box
If we always keep in mind that the cat is a very clean animal and that it does not like to relieve itself in a place that smells bad or in an area where there is a lot of noise, we can get an idea of how and where its tray should be. The ideal is to put it, for example, in the bathroom, and remove its stools every day. Once a week we will clean it thoroughly so that the furry continues to feel comfortable using it.
Another important point that we rarely remember is that of choosing a litter box that is large enough for the animal that we have at home. And it is that to go well it would have to fit lying down and have plenty of space on the sides; hence it is advisable to get a rather large tray.
Avoid stress
Stress, anxiety, ... in short, tension is not good for anyone, but when you live with a cat you have to be especially careful as it is a very sensitive animal. For this reason, we must try to lead a quiet life, do sports (it releases endorphins, which are the hormones of happiness), meditate, do yoga, read, ... in short, do things that relax us.
In this way, the relationship we have with the feline will be strengthened, and I can assure you that he will not have any intention of wetting the bed.
Consult with your vet
It is a living being, and as such it will sometimes be sick. So my last tip (but no less important) is take the cat to the vet as soon as we have the slightest suspicion that it is not feeling well. And is that if, for example, you urinate where you should not, the most common thing is that you have an infection or even stones in the gallbladder or liver that will need treatment to heal.
