There is nothing cuter than watching a cat sleep. He gets such a sweet little face that it makes you want to give him lots of kisses and pampering. When it is a puppy it sleeps that is pleasant for practically the whole day, but when it grows up it is not one of those that reduces its rest time much.

How much does a healthy cat sleep?
In general, healthy kittens and cats sleep a lot (too much, compared to the sleep time humans need), but they don't spend the day ironing their ears 🙂. In fact, the smallest sleep between 20 and 22 hours a day, and adults between 16 and 18 hours. Of course, they do not sleep long, but they take naps throughout the day and night.
If ours sleeps more than that, then we have to worry as he might be sick or… bored. Yes, yes, if you get bored, if you have nothing to do, you may not move from your bed, which is very sad.
What to do if you sleep a lot?
The first and most important thing is take him to the vet to find out if he is (or not) sick. As it happens to us humans, when we get sick our mind forces us to rest, especially if we have a fever. So we will pay a visit to the specialist and follow the advice he offers us in case it is finally confirmed that our friend is not feeling well.
In the event that you are healthy, what we will do is change your routine; that is, we will play 2-3 times a day with him for about 15 minutes (or until he gets tired) for example with a ball made of aluminum foil, we will keep him company and try to make him feel good.
