If there is something that is very curious to him, such as the sound of a cat approaching for example, he will turn his head towards that sound, and he will pay close attention to it. You may be sitting or lying down, but in either case, you may be able to move slowly or not at all. Then surely decide to get closer.
This is my territory
Cats are very territorial, some more than others. To defend what they consider to be theirs, what they do is mark it with urine and your fingernails. If they see a feline they do not know, they will snort, growl, and if necessary, with fights.
In mating season
Cats that are in heat they will have a somewhat different behavior than they normally have. In the case of male cats, they could attack the others if there is a non-neutered cat nearby; and in the case of females, they will be very affectionate and will rub themselves on the ground.
