As we all already know, and especially those of us who have cats, these types of animals are usually quite curious, so on some occasions, they can end up getting into trouble and ending up injured or with some type of cut that begins to to bleed impressively and alarmingly.
Although generally, the wounds that our little animal can receive when leaving home, and being in contact with other animals, are superficial, and do not require veterinary attention, it is important that we learn some aspects to be able to clean and take care of them, so that they do not end up becoming infected or complicating.
If we notice that our cat has been cut and presents uno bleeding, but the wound does not look very deep, we do not have to run to the vet, but we ourselves can take care of the healing of our little animal. Of course, I recommend that you follow some steps and consider some measures, such as cleaning the wound very well with a gauze moistened in physiological saline, and then proceed to cut the hair around the wound and apply a mild antiseptic that do not cause burning.
After doing this, I recommend that you apply a little petroleum jelly, especially on the edges of the wound, to prevent some hairs from falling there, causing infection and pain. If you notice that your little animal starts to bleed a lot, you should try to stop bleeding, doing some kind of pressure on the place where the cut is, but if the bleeding does not stop, I recommend that you take it immediately to the vet to be evaluated.
For stop the bleeding or bleeding, you should cover the wound with a gauze pad soaked in cold water and apply a little pressure. If despite this attempt, the bleeding does not stop, you should secure the gauze with some type of bandage and place another gauze pad on top. To reinforce the bandage, it is recommended that you put another around the second pad.
