Cat grooming

If there is something that all of us who live with a cat (or several) see a lot, it is that it cleans itself almost every two by three: after eating, after getting up from a nap, after we pet it, after being caressed another human… He doesn't want to be dirty, so he constantly cleans himself.

El cat grooming It is a behavior that has always attracted our attention, because although we understand that it wants to be clean, this animal seems to have an obsession for personal hygiene.

Grooming is instinctive behavior. As the cat is a predatory animal, it should not give off any odor that could alert its victims. And that is something the mother cat knows very well. As soon as its young are born, it cleans them conscientiously, while stimulating their breathing. In addition, it also does it so that they can relieve themselves, since kittens that are so young do not know how to do them on their own.

When they are three weeks old, they begin to imitate their mother. At first they are a bit clumsy, which is normal considering that their body is still developing, but little by little they become great masters of cat grooming, reaching all parts of the body. Yes, yes, to all. The only parts where they have more problems are the head and neck, but for that they use their forearm, which they first moisten with their saliva and then groom themselves.

Cat grooming

But is grooming good for them? Of course. The tongue of cats has tiny hooks thanks to which they can remove dead hair as well as some parasites from the fur. And not only that, but it also serves to strengthen the relationship between cats, between cats and dogs (or other furry animals), and between cats and human animals.

So you know, if he licks your face, hands or hair, you are in luck, because he considers you as one of his own 🙂.

      Hi Patricia.
If it is still wrong you should take her to the vet.
It is not normal that after 10 days of the operation it continues weak.
      Much encouragement.
