How many cats can I have at home?

Two sleeping cats

All of us who love cats would like to be able to welcome… all of them 🙂. They are animals that, with a little patience and a lot of respect, immediately show you that they are charming, very affectionate and tender. But of course, this is unfortunately impossible.

Every time we bring a new feline home, our monthly spending increases. Vaccines, microchips, castrations, food, toys, ... not to mention that it is highly recommended to go making money boxes in case something serious happens. How much can we spend per month? Do our furry ones really have everything they need? How many cats can I have at home?

Understanding cats

Cats, even the shy ones, they need love and attention every day of their life. This means that every 24 hours he has to play, receive affection from his family, snuggle with her while he rests, explore his home to make it clear that he lives in it, and, ultimately, behave as what he is: a cat .

Before deciding if we are going to give you a new partner or not, it is very important to first get to know him well. If he is shy and / or adult, it is best not to increase the cat family, since otherwise he will have a hard time. On the other hand, if it is a sociable cat, and especially if it is young (from two months to 3 years), it will surely like to have someone who looks like it to play and do mischief.

Can you have many cats together?

It depends on the personality of each one of them, the time we have to dedicate to them, and the money we can spend per month. Covering all the needs of a cat means having to take advantage of free time to be with him, in addition to having to spend a certain amount of money per month. Having two cats will force us to have to spend twice as much. Can we afford it?

There are many furry ones that need help, but unfortunately we cannot help them all. It is not advisable to have many cats together, because each and every one of them wants to receive the same amount of love and attention, and, as we know, we only have two hands and a limited time. This is very sad, but it is reality.

A person must have only the number of cats that he can really take care of, neither more nor less; if he had more, the furry ones themselves would suffer the consequences.
