When my cat gave birth, she did it in a "little house", similar to that of the branch, by the way they are so clean, that apart from the fact that they do not dirty practically anything when they stop, the very little they can stain, which is the humidity that the placenta has and kitty baby, they lick it and eat everything, everything, awesome.
By the way, to help the cat, simply bring the placenta closer to her when it has completely come out, she will open it and revive the kitten. I opened some when I was tired, but I couldn't revive them !!! By putting them next to her (without wasting time!) She licks them and gives them life, seriously, to leave her, we do not know how to give her "the spark of life".
The little house was very good for him, to have them all controlled, warm and intimate. You had to make sure that no one was left under it, or between the folds of the blanket, etc. For that it was very convenient that the roof could be raised when it was taken with a zipper.

But we did have to put on his bed, under a fiber blanket that dries quickly, a diaper floor without the elastic part, so that those who peed would not wet the communal bed or the mother who barely got up , just to eat, drink and go to the toilet.
The bed must always be clean, dry and disinfected, or they will not go.
When the kittens were two months old, they were already running around everywhere, the mother with 8 babies was already beginning to be fed up with breastfeeding, so there was no one left in the bed.
We kept the house, then the super bed, we also took it away because they didn't use it. We bought him an igloo bed like that one with the strawberry, but they don't want beds. They all sleep either on the large scratching post that has platforms with a backrest, or on the sofa (we put a protective sheet that we change)
