The cats they do not stop surprising us. They have a very own personality (or, as I like to call it, felinity) that makes us love them madly. His gaze softens our hearts, awakening our paternal instincts, even when we don't have children.
A reaction that can be more curious to us is the fact that sometimes they groom us, as if we were one more. Surely your furry has licked you more than once, right? Let's see why does my cat lick my hair.
You are lying in bed or on the sofa, and suddenly you notice that your cat comes up from behind and starts licking you. It is not that he wants to clean your hair, which could be a very interesting reason, but rather that he does it for another reason that, we know, you will like more: to show you how much he loves you. Of course, if he bites you, take it as an invitation to play, because that will be what he tries to tell you.
But the thing does not end there. In fact, while licking you, in addition to expressing what he feels for you, what he will do is remove other odors of our hair. Thus, we will officially become part of your small circle of friends. It is, therefore, a type of care that he reserves for the members of the family that he really considers special.
In case you don't like me to do it, do not flatter or speak to him in a soft or cheerful tone of voice, since that way you would be thanking him for his behavior, so he would do it again.
The best thing to do in these cases is to get away from him as soon as he starts doing it. In this way, you will get the message right away and we can continue watching television or reading a book in the company of our cat, but without licking our hair.
